During the incident, five vehicles plunged into the Mahisagar river. As a result, three people were rescued, while tragically, nine people lost their lives. Reports indicate that this bridge, which connects Vadodara and Anand, was approximately 45 years old.

In this tragic incident near Mujpur village, two trucks, a Bolero jeep, and another jeep were crossing the bridge when it suddenly collapsed.
